Rondeau, Rondo, in der Poesie (Ringel-, Rundgedicht), ein kleines, sonettartiges, ursprünglich 13 Zeilen enthaltendes Gedicht, von denen 2, meist die 9. und 13., den sogenannten Refrain, die Hälfte des ersten Verses wiederholen. Rondo in der Musik: der Satz eines Concerts, einer Sonate etc., oder ein besonderes Tonstück überhaupt, in dem der Hauptsatz, das Thema, als Refrain im Laufe der Tonwellen ein oder mehreremal wiederkehrt.
